DRAGON’S HEAD CIDER
Dragon’s Head Cider keeps their cidermaking process simple and authentic: they press high quality fruit, ferment the juice, then put it in a bottle. Made with 100% pears, this perry will stand out from most othe rcideries. It has already impressed the judges at the 2017 GLINTCAP Competition so much that they gave it a Gold medal for best perry! The pears that Dragon’s Head cider uses are unique to Vashon Island, Washington and harvested from trees that were likely planted by homesteaders around 100 years ago. These Vashon pears are blended with true English Perry pears to create this amazing perry.
About the Cider Makers
Wes and Laura Cherry moved to Vashon Island in 2010 with the dream of planting an orchard and starting a cidery. Dragon’s Head Farm, named for the dragon who guards the apples of immortality in the Garden of Hesperides, is now home to over 3,000 cider fruit trees as well as their production facility. Wes ad Laura take a traditional approach to cider making. They only use exceptionally high quality fruit, but patience and attention to detail is key to creating a perfect cider. From apple to bottle, every step of the cidermaking process happens right on their farm.

TILTED SHED CIDERWORKS
Tilted Shed Ciderworks’ primary goal is to make ciders that elevate the apple to greatness, expressing a unique point of view and sense of place-something that inspires, captivates, and brings joy. They certainly proved their success with this cider. To ‘topwork‘ means to graft a scion of one variety of an apple tree onto the limbs or trunk of a more established tree. It is a fitting metaphor for this blend of ciders from two different harvests. It is comprised of 100% organic fresh-pressed heirloom and tannic apples from the 2015 and 2016 harvests. This cider is unfiltered, unrefined, unpasteurized, and unbelievably delicious!
About the Cider Makers
Scott and Ellen started Tilted Shed Ciderworks in 2011 out of their love for apples and cider. They truly are an incredible couple. They grew up in Alameda, California, have known each other since the first grade, been together since 1996, and married since 2001. In 2010, they found their forever home in west Sonoma County, on a 5.4 acre Sebastopol farm, which they share with their son, dog, chickens, and sheep. With over 100 varieties of traditional cider apples and perry pears on their farm, Scott and Ellen put in long hours to create some of the best cider in the country.

- Tasting Notes: This is a properly dry cider, with notes of ripe melon, dried pineapple, and kiwi. It has a good tannic grip, bright acidity, and a long, elegant finish.
