TIN CITY CIDER
The founders of Tin City Cider Co. really hit the mark with their Liliko’i cider. Sip this cider and close your eyes to be instantly transported to the gorgeous islands of Hawaii. In Hawaii, Liliko’i is the name used for passion fruit. This rare fruit is what makes Tin City’s Liliko’i unlike any other cider. It’s fermented with a healthy amount of passion fruit, then barrel-aged in french oak barrels for four months. The nose on this cider has some farmhouse, acidic, and almost scrumpy-like characteristics. The taste is tart, semi-dry, and definitely refreshing. The passion fruit flavor is just strong enough to accentuate the overall taste of the cider in just the right way. It finishes short and clean, leaving your pallet wanting more after each sip.
Not too sweet, and not too dry, this cider starts off crisp with strong apple flavors, transitioning into subtle notes of pear and citrus. It finishes light and dry with many white wine characteristics due to the white wine yeast used in fermentation.
About the Cider Makers
Tin City Cider was formed out of a perfect collaboration between winemakers Curt Schalchlin, Mikey Giugni, and Andrew Jones. Curt, owner and vintner of the renowned winery, Sans Liege, is known for his critically acclaimed Rhone varietals. Mikey’s fascination in wine and the ocean resulted in the formation of his winery and cidery, Scar of the Sea, which places great emphasis on where the grapes and apples are grown. Andrew, winemaker of Field Recordings, spends his days planning and planting vineyards. Together, these craftsmen created Tin City Cider, a California cidery producing hand-crafted cider made with only the best California apples.

FINNRIVER FARM AND CIDERY
Cider Summit Collaboration Saison Cider
This cider was produced in collaboration with the nation-wide Cider Summit festivals. Finnriver has been among the earliest supporters of Cider Summit. Thus, they have joined forces to create this special release cider to celebrate and accompany all cider summit events in 2017!
This cider is a collaborative exploration of yeast, cider styles, and fruit. It is fermented with a saison ale yeast. Higher temperatures during fermentation bring out the tropical and spice notes of the yeast while also building on the sweet apple foundation creating a silky body. A sachet of black pepper, clove and apricot are infused briefly after fermentation to bolster the fresh fruit aromatics of the yeast and cider. This cider is a perfectly executed example of technique, microbiology, and experience crafted to bring joy from first sniff to last exhalation. Most notably, it is simply a toast to the Cider Summit!
About the Cider Makers
Keith Kisler, a fourth generation farmer, and his wife, Crystie were looking for a place to settle down before they arrived in the Olympic Peninsula. There, they met farmers Kate Dean and Will O’Donnell. The name Finnriver is derived from Kate and Will’s son, Finn and the Kisler’s first son, River. In 2008, Keith and Crystie partnered with their neighbor, Eric Jorgensen, to begin operations on the Finnriver Cidery. From farmers to cidermakers, the unstoppable trio (Keith, Crystie, and Keith) are producing some of the most amazing ciders coming out of the Pacific Northwest!
- ABV: 6.5%
- Tasting Notes: Strong yeast in the nose, nutty with undertones of grass and apricot. Round and smooth mouthfeel with balanced yeast bitters playing off the tropical fruit notes.
